Step 1: ICAI Campus Registration – How to Get In
The first step in the ICAI placement process is registration. And this part is crucial - because if your
form is incomplete or incorrect, you might get rejected before anything even starts.
Where to register:
Go to the official ICAI campus portal: https://cmib.icai.org
Login using
- Username: Your CA Final registration number
- Password: DOB (DDMMYYYY) or previously set password
- If you face login issues, email: cajob@icai.in
What to Fill in the ICAI Campus Form:
- Info: Name, photo, DOB, gender
- Contact Details: Mobile and email (make sure they work - ICAI won’t resend)
- CA Final Info: Attempt-wise marks, number of attempts, result date
- Articleship
Details: Start and end dates, firm name - must be completed before
ICAI’s cut-off date
- Other Qualifications: BCom, MBA, CFA, etc.
- Centre Preferences: Choose ONE metro and optionally ONE smaller city
- Declaration Upload: Self-declare eligibility and completion

Step 2: Shortlisting - Who Gets Picked?

Each company can shortlist up to 10× the roles offered.
Example: For 5 vacancies, they can shortlist 50 candidates.
You can give consent to 4 companies per round. Choose wisely.
Didn’t get through in Round 1?
Your profile automatically moves to the smaller city (if selected). You get a second chance with 4 new
consents.
Step 3: Interviews – Be Ready, Be Real
This is where ICAI interview questions come into play. After giving consent, you’ll be called for online
interviews.
Pre-Placement Talk (PPT):
- Companies upload slides with role info, package, and expectations

Interview Format:
- Online through Zoom, Webex or Google Meet

What happens if I accept a job and don’t join?
You’ll be blacklisted from future ICAI placements and a fine of INR 5,000 will be imposed.
Will I be eligible for the next ICAI campus placement if I’m not selected now?
Yes, as long as you didn’t participate this time and still meet ICAI placement eligibility.
